Microsoft’s president Anant Maheshwari steps down

Anant Maheshwari joins Honeywell from Microsoft, where he served as president and chief executive officer of Microsoft India.

Anant Maheshwari, who has 25 years of experience, his resignation comes at a time when restructuring is taking place at the top level management at Microsoft.

Rohan Naterwalla, Abhinav Sinha join Punt Partners’ creative leadership team

Rohan Naterwalla joins the agency from Dentsu Webchutney where he has worked on key clients such as Hershey's, Tinder, MakeMyTrip, Platinum Guild, Facebook, Aditya Birla Capital, and Bajaj Allianz. Abhinav Sinha brings with him over 15 years of experience, having worked with diverse industries such as Mullen Lowe Lintas, Disney's Star Wars, LEGO, and Amazon Game Studios.

Both of them will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Sumera Dewan, president of agency’s creative arm Punt Creative.

IndiaPlays appoints Ami Palan as the head of marketing and strategy; Yash Thakkar as head of sales

Verma has experience across diverse categories including FMCG, durables, telecom, finance, retail, e-commerce, fashion, and lifestyle, servicing brands like ITC, Titan Company Ltd, Google, Tata Global Beverages, and Myntra.

Before joining dentsu, Sanchayeeta Verma held various senior management positions at GroupM’s Mindshare and Wavemaker.

Samsung Electronics hires Nykaa’s Sudipta Paul as marketing lead

Paul's responsibilities involve customer relationship management, marketing management, retail marketing, and digital strategy.

Sudipta Paul was previously associated with Nykaa as the marketing communications manager. During her tenure, she worked on the reach and awareness for these brands.

Johnson Controls-Hitachi appoints Sanjay Sudhakaran as managing director, India and South Asia

Sanjay Sudhakaran previously worked for United Technologies as managing director, buildings and industrial solutions and for Otis Elevator as senior director, Asia Pacific, mergers and acquisitions, sales and marketing before joining Schneider Electric in 2019.

Sanjay Sudhakaran will succeed Gurmeet Singh, who stepped down as chairman and managing director on June 30.

Unilever former CEO Alan Jope: Businesses can choose to remain part of the problem or contribute to the solution

During his stint at Unilever as the CEO, Jope implemented the compass strategy. Speaking to Vox Media's Donald about what the strategy has achieved and what he wanted it to achieve, he states, "It merges our business and sustainability priorities. Alan Jope retired from Unilever on June 30. He will be on the board of directors for Accenture and will be involved in a couple of not-for-profit organizations.
