Diageo India appoints Ruchira Jaitly as the chief marketing officer

Ruchira Jaitly has over 23 years of experience in Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Innovation, Business, Start-Up, Impact Business Creation and in Market Consumer & Customer Engagement at Unilever, PepsiCo, Royal DSM, HMD Global (Home of Nokia Phones).

Ruchira Jaitly takes over as CMO at a time when Diageo India has accelerated its innovation and premiumization strategies with a focus on sustainability.

Diageo India’s CMO Deepika Warrier quits; Ruchira Jaitly to take over

Deepika Warrier spent 20 years with Pepsico, where she was instrumental in driving strategic development, innovation, brand equity enhancement and resource allocation across a range of beverages, and juice-based drinks.

Deepika Warrier’s last working day at the company is 31 July. Ruchira Jaitly, who currently serves the company as the executive vice president, marketing, will take over as the new CMO from August 1.

Sumant Bhattacharya has led stories for numerous brands across various sectors including Google, Nestle, Dabur, Maruti, Himalaya Wellness, Kalyan Jewelers, Absolut, Jameson, World Gold Council, and Sun Pharma, among others.

Prior to joining Publicis Worldwide India, Bhattacharya served as the national head for communications planning at Motivator, a GroupM agency. He also held positions at agencies such as Lowe Lintas, Grey, JWT, Leo Burnett, and Mudra, among others.

Grey Group India appoints Ankit Mathur as group creative director

Ankit Mathur has been recognized on the Social Samosa 30under30 list, served as a Shadow Juror for YouTube. Awards 2022, and holds a degree in Crafting Creative Communications from MICA. He’s also serving as an Adjunct Professor at Miami Ad School, Mumbai.

Ankit Mathur’s last stint was with Dentsu Webchutney as a creative director. He has also worked with other leading agencies like Digitas and McCann group on a wide spectrum of brands.
