In a significant development, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has witnessed yet another resignation within its senior leadership team. Manish Chopra, director and head of Meta’s partnership initiatives in India, has announced his departure after a tenure of four and a half years.

This comes as part of a succession of notable exits from Meta India, following the departures of Ajit Mohan, former India head, and Rajiv Aggarwal, public policy head, both of whom left the organization towards the end of last year.

Chopra put up a LinkedIn post announcing the move.

“Full of gratitude, pride and impact – moving on from Meta,” the post said.

“I am grateful to the company for trusting me with building out our efforts to drive growth and engagement across Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. I am super proud of the work the team and I have done to become an ally for creators and businesses around the country. There are so many people who have been so critically influential in guiding my team and I, that I cannot do justice by calling out only a few. #ifykyk and my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you! To my team, it’s been my privilege to know you and learn from you. More power to you, always,” Chopra said in his post.

An excerpt from his post also said how the recent months have been trying times for everyone in so many ways.

“I know this team has shown so much care and has helped each other selflessly. At so many moments in doing one’s very best, I have seen folks embody ‘what would you do, if you were not afraid’, and surpass our wildest dreams. And so for me, I am now looking forward to a new phase in my professional life. I will share more in due course,” he added.
