Meta said news makes up less than 3 percent of what people around the world see in their Facebook feed. It won’t enter into new commercial deals for traditional news content in these countries, and will not offer new Facebook products specifically for news publishers in the future.

In early April, Meta will deprecate Facebook News, a dedicated tab for news content, in the United States and Australia, after 80 percent drop in users of News tab. News makes up less than 3 percent of what people around the world see in their Facebook feed.

The joint venture has been valued at Rs 70,352 crore ($8.5 billion). RIL will be injecting Rs 11,500 crore ($1.4 billion) into the venture to support the growth strategy.
